The beautiful expanses of The Regent’s Park are just a 10-minute walk away, where you can enjoy the open-air theatre, walk through rose gardens, or boat around the lake. Here you will also find London Zoo, which makes for a great day out for all the family. The theatre haven of London’s West End can be reached in around 20 minutes by public transport, where you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to comedy, drama, musicals and children’s theatre. Fans of art should visit the Wallace Collection, just six minutes from the apartments, which houses an astonishing array of paintings, sculpture, furniture and more in a historic London town house.
Marylebone Village offers a unique blend of independent shops and larger, high-street brands. High quality products and attention to personal service is the prevailing norm. Down Chiltern Street itself you’ll find fashion designer Bella Freud, stylish men’s tailoring store Trunk Clothiers Ltd. and health and beauty shop, anatome, among so many others. A few streets away, Marylebone High Street is peppered with premium boutiques, designers, and upmarket perfumeries – while there, do stop in at the beautiful Edwardian bookshop, Daunt Books, to enjoy the stunning architecture while you browse for your next read. The varied shopping areas of Bond Street and Oxford Street, are also within easy walking distance, where you’ll find big-name brands, flagship stores, suave tailoring and more.
From famous headline restaurants to sweet, vegan inspired cafés, Marylebone is heaven for food lovers, whatever your taste or fancy. Chiltern Street and the immediate roads around it boast so many great choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner – mere moments from your apartment. Arro London is a lovely spot to pick up organic coffee, Italian pastries, sandwiches and more. Or head to Chiltern Street Deli, where you can purchase artisanal produce to use in your apartment kitchen as well as coffee, sandwiches and homemade treats. For dinner, check out the Italian cuisine on offer at rustic Anacapri and Il Blandfords, or head to Chotto Matte, which serves a Japanese-Peruvian fusion menu in a vibrant, modern space. Mielo, meanwhile, is a lovely spot for modern Mediterranean and delicious drinks.
Take the tube from Baker Street down to London’s West End, where you’ll find a multitude of theatres showing evening performances of drama, comedy, musicals, cabaret and more. The Top Secret Comedy Club is an unassuming basement venue around the corner from The Shaftesbury Theatre where you can see up and coming comedians and (occasionally!) a big name trying out new material. The Barley Mow is a traditional independent pub, offering historic surroundings in which to enjoy an evening drink, while The Marylebone is a modern bar specializing in fun, creative cocktails. For a really interesting place to have a drink, head to the brick-lined 19th-century cellar bar at Purl London, where they serve intricate, multi-sensory cocktails in speakeasy-style surroundings.
